• Get the best chair you can, your back will thank you
• The more desk space the better, use as much room as you can
• Store seldom used papers, objects and other paraphernalia in strong plastic boxes
• Put up high shelves to maximise storage space
• Pin boards and white boards are very handy

Computer

• Get extra sockets put in if you use a lot of electrical equipment
• Get the best monitor you can afford, you'll be looking at it for a long time
• Adjust your monitor according to instructions to prevent eye strain
• Cordless mice and keyboards reduce desk clutter
• E-mail is admissible in court, be careful what you write
• Don't let the kids play on your office computer
• Back everything up daily (you won't and you'll be sorry, remember this)
• Mug hooks under the desk are the perfect way to tidy your leads

Environment

• Maintain a comfortable temperature
• Keep a spare gas bottle for your portable heater
• Keep things tidy, you'll save time and think more clearly
• Green is a great colour for your office walls

Family

• One toddler can wreak havoc in milliseconds
• One child can destroy a filing system
• One teenager can cause problems you won't notice 'till its too late
• Family in the home / You in the office
